Who we are

The Scriptural Resonance Project is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Questions, requests and privacy concerns can be sent to info@scriptural-resonance.com.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may receive:

• your full name, email address and the message you choose to send through a general or “Be a Member” enquiry;
• information you voluntarily include in correspondence with the Project;
• for approved article editors, basic account identity information used to control access to the editorial area; and
• routine technical information that hosting and security services may process, such as an IP address, browser or device information, request date and time, and security logs.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in a message unless it is genuinely necessary for your enquiry.

How and why we use it

We use information to answer enquiries, consider requests to participate, maintain project relationships, protect the site, control access to the editorial workspace and meet legal obligations.

Our usual lawful basis is the Project’s legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact us, administering its work and keeping its systems secure. Where you ask us to take steps connected with a possible working or membership relationship, processing may also be necessary to take those steps at your request. If a legal obligation applies, we process the information to meet that obligation.

We do not use enquiry details for unrelated advertising, and we do not currently operate a marketing mailing list.

Contact forms and email

The public forms on this site use an email link. Completing a form prepares a message in your own email application; the website itself does not save the text you enter. Nothing is sent until you choose to send the prepared email.

After you send it, the message is processed by your email provider and the Project’s email service. It reaches the Project inbox at info@scriptural-resonance.com and is used by authorised members of the Project to respond and, where relevant, follow up your request.

Who receives it

We limit access to people who need the information for Project work. Information may also be processed on our behalf by website hosting, email, authentication, security or technical service providers. We may disclose information to professional advisers, regulators or public authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share enquiry details with third parties for their own direct marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Routine enquiries and membership correspondence are reviewed and will normally be deleted or anonymised no later than 24 months after the last meaningful contact, unless an active project relationship, a safeguarding concern, a dispute or a legal requirement makes a longer period necessary.

Approved editor details are kept while access is authorised and for a reasonable security and audit period afterwards. Technical logs are retained according to the operational and security schedules of the relevant service provider.

International processing

Some technology or email providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will use providers that apply an approved legal mechanism or another lawful safeguard.

Cookies and similar technologies

The public site does not intentionally use advertising or audience-measurement cookies. Essential technologies may be used by the hosting, security and authentication services needed to operate the site; for example, when an approved editor signs in to the protected article control panel.

If non-essential analytics or marketing technologies are introduced, we will update this notice and request any consent required before they are used.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you the right to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of use, data portability, or to object to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

To exercise a right, email info@scriptural-resonance.com. We may need enough information to confirm your identity and locate the relevant record. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator.

Children’s information

The contact forms are not designed to collect personal information directly from children under 13. A child under 13 who wishes to contact the Project should ask a parent or guardian to do so on their behalf. If you believe a child has sent us personal information inappropriately, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices, service providers or legal responsibilities materially change. The date at the top of the page identifies the current version.
